“Although it's easy to forget sometimes, a share is not a lottery ticket... it's part-ownership of a business.”
Peter Lynch

Fee-based structure:

We do not rely on sales commissions. SWCM eliminated the incentive to trade and the inherent conflicts of interests that a commission based arrangement present. Your account turnover will be low, which reduces both your transaction costs and capital gains taxes. A fee based on a percentage of assets is charged to all accounts.

Relationship:

As a local investment advisor we are easily reachable and available to answers your questions.

Ownership of securities:

An individually managed account is an account of stocks/companies chosen by the portfolio manager to achieve a specific objective, long term total return. Each account, and its individual investments, is owned by the investor for whom it is managed. Ownership of the individual securities allows the client to manage the type of securities owned and to manage the tax concerns and capital gains or losses in each account. Ownership allows the client to limit exposure to certain securities. We DO NOT use mutual funds as an investment option.

Progressive Money Management:

At SWCM we don’t create a useless financial plan that is really no more than a marketing tool used by advisors to raise money. Instead we use real time analysis to provide our clients with the best money management advice and consultation resulting in higher quality financial advice. In addition this allows us to focus on making better investment decisions that outperform your expectations. We believe all investment decisions must use a valuation parameter, and if correctly utilized, will increase performance.

Size and scope:

SWCM has a low account minimum. We can tailor each portfolio independently of the others, and target a higher quality result. Our stock selection discipline is also dedicated to delivering a high “quality of holdings.”

Account types:

We manage equity portfolios on either a discretionary or non-discretionary basis.

Quarterly performance report:

A comprehensive report helps you and your portfolio manager understand performance data in relation to your goals, while helping fine tune your investment strategy as the markets change.
